Toronto Rally for the Syrian Refugee Crisis

Hello everyone.

I am writing to invite you to join us in Toronto this Wednesday Sep 16, at 18.30 for a peaceful rally in support of the Syrian refugee crisis. You can see this event on my facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/events/957098987689948/

Just because the media does not show us more infants washed ashore, it does not mean that Syrian children are not dying in very dire conditions. Our main stance is for Canada to open its doors to Syrian refugees and to do it fast. I have no religious or political affiliation. This a walking rally with signs and placards, it would be great if you make your own sign to show your support and solidarity. We start at 6.30 pm where we depart from Yonge and College, we will walk south on Yonge and turn onto Victoria St where we will gather at the location of the Canada Citizenship & Immigration Office. We will give a speech at that location in light of the current situation. I am inviting MPs and politicians of various parties to participate and I am hoping for a good turnout. I will also be contacting the media to get coverage.

Please mark the date, WED Sep 16 at 6.30 pm, Yonge and College, and come show your solidarity and support for this pressing humanitarian issue. Unless the people speak up and go down to the streets, the Government of Canada will remain in its current shameful stand-by mode.

Please try to bring a sign or a placard. It would be nice if we all wear a Canada T-shirt or carry the Canadian flag.

Please share this event with your family and friends. This is one of the truly worthy causes to go down to the streets for!

I have also started a petition online asking the Government to take action and bring in 10,000 Syrian refugees by Dec 31, 2015. Check it out at:
